1976–1980: Establishment and incorporation
On April 1, 1976, Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne incorporated Apple Computer Company as a partnership. The Apple I, a computer that Wozniak totally designed and manufactured by hand, was the business’s first offering. Jobs sold his Volkswagen Bus, and Wozniak sold his HP-65 calculator, to raise money for its construction. Wozniak presented the initial Apple I prototype to the Homebrew Computer Club in July 1976. The Apple I was marketed as a motherboard with a CPU, RAM, and simple textual-video chips. It was not yet promoted as a full personal computer. Csam Apple Usrossignolmacrumors.
Success with Macintosh from 1980 to 1990
When Jobs and a number of Apple employees, notably human-computer interface specialist Jef Raskin, visited Xerox PARC in December 1979 to watch a demonstration of the Xerox Alto, a computer with a graphical user interface, it was a pivotal milestone in the development of the company. In exchange for the option to purchase 100,000 shares, Xerox gave Apple engineers three days of access to the PARC facilities. Due to internal conflict within the Lisa division, Jobs was removed from the project in 1982. The Lisa was the first consumer-sold personal computer with a graphical user interface when it was introduced in 1983, but due to its high price and limited software options, it was a commercial disaster. In December 2021, Apple withdrew the aforementioned update and any other references to their CSAM detection intents from its Child Safety page, but a corporate official claimed The Verge that the business’s goals for the functionality remained the same. To the best of our knowledge, Apple has not since made any public remarks regarding the plans. We’ve been in touch with Apple to find out if the feature is still in the works.
